CES is seeking Special Education Teacher Consultants, School Psychologists and Certified School Social Workers to work in a Public/Charter school district with Special Education students.  The School Social Work position is for Genesee and Wayne County Schools.   All positions are open and need to be filled within the next two weeks.  All positions are contracted positions during the school year.  Health Insurance and Supplemental Major Medical (AFLAC) insurance  is offered.

Resource Teacher/Teacher Consultant: 

 CES is looking to place a Special Education Coordinator/Resource Support Staff at a charter school in Southeastern Michigan (metro Detroit Area). This person is responsible for the following: use of technology to enhance instruction and conduct reports, instructional leader for students and implementing results of focused programs, ensure compliance with laws, regulations, rules and policies, acknowledging, reviewing and correcting problems found in Continuous Improvement Monitoring System (CIMS) reports. Prepare and submit district data to the Michigan Student Data System (MSDS) for Special Education count day, responsible for all special education instruction and reports for the district, professional development sessions for general education teachers, attend required special education meetings and trainings, identifying new students with IEPs for continuation of programs and services, implementing IEPs, Re-Evaluations/3-year IEPS and Initial IEP's, participating in cooperative efforts among teachers, staff, students and parents with regard to curriculum development, instruction and assessments. This staff will also need to develop and implement instructional programs and supervise and coordinator support services staff. Although these are position requirements, they may vary depending upon the education setting and or special education program design.

Teacher Consultant-needed to complete Individual Education Plans (IEP), Response-to Intervention tiers and manage a Special Education case load with a Resource Program in an inclusive learning environment. School Psychologist:

  
Creative Educational Solutions, LLC is seeking a School Psychologist-needed to complete initial and three-year psychological evaluations as needed, attend IEP's as requested by Resource Room Coordinator and complete individual tests if needed when an additional Education eligibility is being considered.  Creative Educational Solutions, LLC is seeking individuals who have a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology. Applicant's with or without their 3C's will be considered. Supervision for applicants without their 3 C's will be offered. The position is for a Speech Pathologist who will be employed or contracted by CES and placed at a Charter Elementary, School for Speech Therapy Services with Special Education Students In Genesee County, Michigan. This is an on-site and virtual position. 80% of the services will be given to the students via electronic on-line service. This is a position during the school year which may require travel between to the school will be limited to intial evaluations, progress reports and some IEP meetings. Mileage reimbursement will be offerred. Pay is negotiable. Health insurance is offered as an option.

Social Worker:

Creative Educational Solutions, LLC is seeking individuals who have a Master's Degree in Social Work and who have Full or Temporary (SSW-310 University Recommendation for School Social Worker Temporary Approval) to work in a Public/Charter School District. These individuals will be employed by CES and placed at a Charter Elementary, Middle and or High School for School Social Work Services with Regular, Special Education Students and RTI and possibly serving the At-risk population. This is a contractual position during the school year which may require travel between schools, if placed at one or more schools. Pay is negotiable. Health insurance and AFLAC are offered as options.

A Social Worker applicant must possess a Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited University. Applicant must possess a SW-310 form to be considered for employment, which means the applicant needs to have completed the two required Masters level courses that will make one eligible to receive a SSW-310 Form. Applicant must have a License in Social Work from a state licensing body. A Limited License is accepted. Supervision is offered. Temporary and Fully Approved School Social Work Certifications are accepted.

Applicants must have knowledge of the following:

  1. Adapting and modifying the teaching and learning environment to accommodate the diverse needs of students with behavioral problems
  2. Creating and implementing Functional Behavioral Assessments
  3. Implementing school-wide Response-to-Intervention Tier strategies
  4. Providing Social Work Services in the educational environment
  5. Coordinating an IEP process and services
  6. Completing Psychosocial Adapting and modifying the teaching and learning environment to accommodate the diverse needs of students with physical and occupational impairments.
  7. Completing Psychosocial Evaluations and assessing for Emotional Impairment.

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in School Social Work is preferred
